OBJECTIVES
To promote academic, entrepreneurship, social and cultural progress
or development among Ghanaian youth living in Austria.
This involves organizing the youth in the following manner:
1. Academic:
The youth pursuing various academic programs in schools will network
by way of email telephone and all other electronic media to exchange
learning experiences, help each other with academic work. Sharing common
knowledge about Computer techniques or application.
2. Entrepreneurship
The youth pursuing entrepreneurship oriented programs like those of
HTL, Berufschule and so on will also share information and learning
experiences, job creation, seminars, workshop and symposia.
3. Social and cultural
To network together in organizing through discussions of Social activities
particularly those activities with direct relevance to the learning
of Ghanaian culture and also to expose the youth to Ghanaian traditions
including music, drumming, dancing, communication, cooking and interpersonal
relationships. This is to enable the individual to have an unbroken
umbilical cord to typical Ghanaian way of life. Also inclusive in this
section is the adoption of morality, etiquette and linguistics to appreciate
the study African Ghanaian History.
4. Sports
To organize sports activities like soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming
and athletics including other fantastic games for children popularly
played in Ghana like 'ampe', 'dame' and 'oware'. This will not only
promote mental and physical health and well being of the participants
but also inter-personal relationships among the youth, helping to build
leadership qualities and strong sense of competing.
5. Excursions
Organizing excursions to places of interest in Austria and neighboring
countries. To establish youth partnerships, with some schools in Ghana
under the auspices or collaboration, of the Ministry of Youth and Sports
in Accra Ghana.
6. Conclusion
To exchange with the youth in Ghana through the creation of e-friends
and pen-friends, visitations, publication of magazines based on African
Ghanaian content and folklore stories like ananse stories, news and
information from Ghana on fashion, music, food and general livelihood.
Quiz programs on Ghana and Africa including National pledges, anthems,
flag identification and other patriotic songs.
